Real Time Recruitment Solutions https://www.rtrs.co.uk Automotive C# WPF Software Engineer, Nuneaton, Excellent PackageRTRS are currently supporting a world-leading supplier of commercial vehicle braking systems at their UK Research and Development centre based in Nuneaton.
We're looking for a confident C# WPF Software Engineer to join their innovative R+D team to lead and take full ownership of PC based Diagnostic utilities to support current and future commercial vehicle products.
As a strong communicator, you will be working collaboratively with other technical disciplines in producing world-class commercial vehicle braking systems. However, you will have complete autonomy and be the sole person with these skills within the team meaning you will be the technical expert and gives you the chance to take 100% ownership of this product - you also must have the ability to work individually to excel at this part.

Your immediate role will be engineering of the full software life cycle - concept, specification, analysis, design, implementation and test. The initial software was written in C++ and in the last six months has transitioned to a C# based systems with WPF.
Ideally you will have strong knowledge in the skills below:
-Strong Object Oriented Programming
-Strong C# programming language skills in Windows desktop environment
-Good C++ programming language skills / knowledge
-Knowledge of .NET Core
-Knowledge of WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
Skills that are highly desirable:
-Knowledge of MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel)
-Unit testing
-Microsoft Visual Studio
-Ability to use version control software such as SVN
-Knowledge of real-time systems
-CAN protocols
-PC support software for embedded applications
-MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class Library)
