McAfee AV EPO Infrastructure Engineer

Warrington based

6 Month contract initially

Rate - £300 - £350 per day

We have an excellent opportunity on a long term program of work, with a global leading organisation. A true leader in their field, with a diverse range of clients.

Key Skills / Experience:

As the 3rd /4th Line Antivirus and Infrastructure Server expert, you will be responsible for AV (McAfee), Windows Servers, Patch management.

Main Focus is AV and End Point Protection for Approx. 20K devices including Work Stations and Servers.

*Respond to and remediate virus infections in the customer's infrastructure.

*Sharing Global Threat updates with the cross functional teams to create awareness on as and when basis.

*Participate in Project work and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer.

*Provide a root cause analysis to determine the cause of infection and the steps needed to remediate the issue.

*Quantifiable experience working with McAfee VirusScan, ePolicy Orchestrator v3.6x, 4.x and 5.x.

*Quantifiable experience working with Antivirus Host Intrusion Prevention / Antivirus Host Intrusion Detection.

Along with providing 3rd Level support for BAU team the principle activity will be delivering projects.

*Continued operational support coverage.

*On-call support to be provided.

*Administration for directory services platforms to include configuration, policy configurations, troubleshooting and getting to root cause analysis, system design, upgrades, and configuration of monitoring tools.

*Expert in Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012.

*Good configuration and administration of VMWARE ESX.

*Perform periodic audit and determine the operating effectiveness of the information security controls.

*3rd Level support for server operating systems including performance monitoring, operations planning.

*Monitor Bandwidth utilization, uptime, and Security logs.

*Work with Project Managers and Lead Architect to deliver projects. Assist with producing requirements and providing proposals/costed solutions.

*Assist with reviewing designs and providing feedback.

*Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and support.

*Participate in capacity planning including forecasting of needs for future infrastructure related purchases.

*3rd Level support for Active Directory records and structure.

*Work effectively with relevant teams to investigate and resolve technical issues, and communicate progress with stakeholders across the business.

*Maintain up to date system installation and configuration documentation, as well as related processes and procedures.

*Research new innovative technologies, methodologies and automated approaches that may benefit the company, leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

*Participate in BAU Operational support and Projects delivery work as instructed by the Line Manager.
