The role requires SC Clearance.Fixed to the WAN Upgrade & Consolidation Project delivery and fundingThe Project Manager (Technical) will deliver the following:Delivery of elements of the overall IT Sustainment Programme essential to maintain Services and/or achieve Technology Savings.This will be a material complex technology project to be achieved, working with the Authority Network Architects and the Networks supplier to agree respective liabilities for replacing End of Life security components, and developing the range of service options going forwards.All deliverables will be produced to a quality standard aligned to industry recognised requirement management practice.All deliverables have been commissioned by and will be presented to the Programme Lead for final approval and acceptance.Key Skills / ExperienceRequires specialist experience of WAN and DC networks, and delivery experience of the Technical and Network Service landscapes.Requires IT Networks knowledge and experience, ideally gained in secure operations environments and control processes.Requires knowledge of Network Service landscapes to assess, propose, agree, and deliver the change necessary to maintain the essential and mandatory IT Services to help deliver the Operational Capability.Ability to ensure that all changes are conformance to the IT Strategy and compliance with the Enterprise Design Authority processes.Experienced PRINCE practitioner.
