Senior Systems Administrator Are you ready to move up in your IT career?? My client is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to supervise and support the delivery of infrastructure products to their users.Your main responsibilities will be to ensure infrastructure services, storage and virtualisation solutions are delivered to a high standard. You will act as the highest level of escalation for Data Centre services and work collaboratively with other seniors in the ICT team.You will supervise your team as they support and maintain Data Centre infrastructure which includes internally hosted and cloud delivered business systems and platforms.Specific responsibilities include;Manage both your own and the Data Centre team's workloads to best deliver team objectives.Main point of escalation for customer problems and concerns.Lead staff members and create a team environment to allow for collaborative and effective working.Have an innovative approach - recommend and implement solutions and improvements to existing processes.Act as a subject mater expert in Data Centre technologies including servers, storage and virtualisation.Plan and deliver internal projects following a formal project management methodology.Identify cost savings or improvement initiatives in technology solutions.Manage operational relationships with key providers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in;Backup and restorationBuild, deployment, patch management (WSUS/SCCM) and anti-virus configuration services (Sophos)Scripting technologies (Powershell/PERL)Server administration (Linux and Solaris)Windows server administration (2008/2012/2016)Ideally, you will have;A degree in ICT or related field (or high level of equivalent experience)Project Management awareness (AGILE PM or Prince 2)ITIL intermediate certificationFull clean driving license
