Spring Technology is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer to join our client in Birmingham on an initial 3 month term. Our client is a growing business with a busy networking team, who are looking for project based support from a hard working engineer who can add value in working with their network technology - focused around Cisco switching and routing, along with Juniper products.

This will be a 3 month initial contract, with potential to extend further into 2019.

Our client is a growing business, who are looking for a talented Network Engineer to join them for project based work (with some BAU). They have a wide range of network technologies so this would suit a multi-skilled engineer, who has Cisco and Juniper at the forefront of your skill arsenal. You will be working alongside other network engineers, project managers, and will directly work with the Head of IT, so a collaborative attitude will help you succeed in utilising your skills to deliver in project timelines. This is a great opportunity to take a lead in the business from the technical perspective, showing them how to achieve the best with the technology stack they have.

Essential Skills:

* Strong background in Cisco switching and routing - specific tools include Nexus 3-9K, ASR series, 2900-6500 series

* Cisco Software knowledge

* Juniper JUNOS and hardware

* Knowledge of troubleshooting wireless LAN technologies along with Ethernet

* Experience with networking protocols such as MPLS, VPN's, BGP, QOS

* Networking automation experience would be a nice to have along with management tools such as Nagios
