Software Engineers

Would you like to be part of a growing team within the Air Sector of our business? We currently have vacancies for Software Engineers in our Warton and Samlesbury sites.

As a Software Engineer, you will be playing an essential role in supporting the design and operation of systems on the platform and engaging in a wide range of simulations, programming, testing and security.

You will be capturing requirements, developing software and resolving any issues that arise whilst developing documentation in an understandable, unambiguous and concise manner.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a skilled team in an exciting and developing business area.

 

Your main responsibilities as a Software Engineer will involve:

Delivering high quality work packages

Working within budgetary and time constraints

Challenging and driving improvements

Supporting the team and project leaders in daily activities

 

Your skills and qualifications:

HND or Degree in STEM Subjects

Familiarity with requirement capture and traceability tools/techniques

Experience in at least one High Level Programming language, e.g. C, C++, Java, Ada etc

Knowledge of Software Development environments e.g. GPS (GNAT), Artisan Real Time Studio / PTC modeller, Simulink, SCADE, Visual Studio, Statemate, HOOD etc.

Experience or knowledge of software engineering process, e.g. UML, Rational Unified Process, Model Based Systems / Software Engineering, DO-178C and DEF STAN 00-55 etc.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
