Project Manager - Mainframe Migration, Sourcing

Location: London (Infrequent travel around South East of England)We are actively looking to secure an experienced Project Manager to join Experis.Experis Consultancy is a Global entity with a well-established team with over 1000 consultants on assignment across 20 clients globally. Purpose of Role:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of our client's mainframe migration and sourcing optimisation.

Responsibilities:Ensure tasks are completed to time and budget and with developed communication and diplomacy skills - strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationshipsManage and drive deliverables. Improve ways of working and flow of work (backlog - progress - delivery)Manage governance, stakeholders, and communicationsBuild and maintain roadmapOrganise the matrix team with defined rolesWeekly steerco with vendorsDomain knowledge: Midrange, mainframe experience, and vendor or sourcing

Essential Skills:Domain knowledge: Midrange, Mainframe, Vendor and SourcingDemonstrable experience and capability to manage projects autonomously. Thorough understanding of concepts, procedures and application of project management Evaluates, complex situations using multiple sources of informationAbility to use recognised project management methods and processes, depending on risk profile and governance needsProven ability to apply relationship management skills and the ability to build client and stakeholder relationshipsAbility to identify stakeholders and manage relationships, risk and engagement to deliver the project's outcomes successfullyAbility to hold operational responsibility for planning, financial and budgetary control, end results and setting decision frameworks within the defined boundaries of a specific project

Qualifications:Project Management Accreditation i.e. Prince2, APMP, ITIL qualification, Risk Management Qualification or 6 Sigma.
