Job Title - AWS Data Engineer Contract Length - 6 Months Day Rate - £600 - £650Location - Manchester The RoleWe are recruiting for an AWS Data Engineer to join a reputable client. In this role you will be working on the evolution of their internal data platforms used for MI and Analytics providing new capability leveraging Cloud and Big Data technology. You will also work closely with client's Data Science team to develop robust production solutions for their Data Science projects.

EssentialsThis is an exciting opportunity to help develop and shape the next generation of data platforms used and the successful candidate should have prior experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable and secure big data/cloud data warehouse solutions and data integration/processing pipelines.RequirementsAWS Platform DevelopmentAWS Kinesis, Redshift, Athena, GlueCloud Based Big Data/Data Warehouse Solutions - including design, development, setup, configuration and monitoring of solutions running on these platformsStrong software development experience in SQL, Python and ScalaExperience with Hadoop ecosystems (Spark, Hive/Impala) - including design, development, setup, configuration and monitoring of solutions running on these platformsKafka (for both Real Time data pipelines and Stream Analytics - including design, development, setup, configuration and monitoring of solutions running on this platformExperience of Worked in an Agile team producing frequent deliverablesExperience of Testing and Automation processes associated with Big Data solution developmentAny experience with the Tableau Data Visualisation platform would be beneficial but not essential as would any experience of the Python programming language.The successful candidate will have proven experience both designing and implementing big data and fast data solutions and should be capable of documenting and communicating to a wide range of stakeholders with differing levels of technical knowledge. You will also be used to working as part of an Agile delivery team in a fast-paced development environment with frequent delivery.
