We have an opportunity for a Junior level Software Developer to join a leading UK pharmacy and healthcare software solutions company.
This Developer job is based in Leyland, Lancashire and will see you working on a new flagship product for the business.
You'll be using the latest software development technologies and be actively involved in solutions design, design workshops and code review, as well as participating in Agile Scrum stand ups, reviews and retrospectives. What experience will you need? They're looking for a Junior - Mid level Software Developer, with prior hands on commercial/industry coding experience. A bright and talented individual with a genuine interest and enthusiasm for quality solutions and development, learning and utilising new technologies and languages. Plus, as team work and collaboration is vital to the success of the project, you'll have very strong interpersonal and communication skills. You'll ideally have a degree in Computer Science, or a related subject, and will be able to demonstrate commercial software development experience, along with knowledge and experience in a number of the following languages, technologies and practices: Visual Studio, C#, Eclipse, Java, Javascript, REST, JSON, XML, GoF, MVC, Enterprise Integration Patterns, NUnit Databases and N-tier architectures e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL Agile Scrum practices and development methods Having some experience of messaging software such as ActiveMQ, scripting (Nant or Powershell) and/or the Atlassian ALM toolset would be a real bonus in this role, but it's not essential, training will be given.
