Job title: Technical Writer

Location: Southampton

Contract: 6 Months Initially (Inside of IR35)

The client is looking for a experienced Technical Writer to create supporting documentation that enables users (including developers) to understand the organisations data products and APIs, reducing their time to value.

Experience:

*5+ years' experience in a technical writing role either in a data, software or technology business with published work across technologies such as web application / REST API / JSON / XML / Javascript / SSO

*Track record working in user-centred design working alongside developers, content designers, product managers to support product go-to-market plans and ongoing support issues.

*Expertise in developer and IT Professional audiences with deep understanding of their communications channels and ways of working

*Ability to explain complex, technical ideas in a simple way, and provide the right level of explanation for a varied audience

*Can implement a strategic approach to documentation including standardisation of communications and channels to a technical audience

*Experience in authoring good product content in various rich media to aid the user journey and educate customers

*Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems or Data Management is desirable.
