Bid Writer

A top UK main contractor has a vacancy for a Bid Writer based in Leeds.

They work on a real variety of construction projects up to the value of £100m. Projects include Education, Care Homes, Healthcare, Commercial and Healthcare.

My client have an excellent reputation as one of the best employers in the industry and have a very secure, stable and valuable workload.

The successful Bid Writer will work the bid team to plan, develop and produce quality, engaging bid documents as well as presentation information all to agreed deadlines and timescales.

Bid Writer Duties

-Writing responses to answer the client's prequalification and tender quality questions

-Be an active participator in developing win strategies and answer planning

-Liaise with the appropriate site staff where required and articulate our differentiators

-Reviews answers and use the feedback to learn from and improve

-Work with the graphics team to make sure that bids look attractive visually as well as using different forms of communication techniques from traditional to more digital

-Ensure databases are kept up to date and that information is shared in the company

-Liaise with other divisions and units across the company to share relevant experience that may be useful

Bid Writer Requirements

-Experience working within a bid team in construction

-Experience being involved in bid writing

-Be a creative writer who can articulate responses in a clear and succinct manner

-Able to work well in a team

-Great attention to detail

-Able to use Microsoft Office and InDesign

Bid Writer Remuneration

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Location: Leeds

Other benefits: Car / Car Allowance + 25 days holiday + Private Healthcare + 8% Pension
