The role:
Our client is going through radical changes and is looking for candidates with general software programming knowledge, a keen interest in engineering solutions, plus good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. You will need to be knowledgeable in C#, ASP.net as well as preferably had exposure to using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue .
My client is looking for experience in:
*C based programming languages (ideally C# with some C++/Java)
*Modern web development frameworks and tech
*Relational Database Systems (ideally including PostgreSQL)
Duties will include:
*Using C# Programming to create desktop & web based software systems
*Analysing, designing and developing to contribute towards software development projects within the software team
*Develop vital software for the business's systems
*Working on their ISO-9001 quality system
*Support the full project lifestyle from capture requirements through to final testing, release and maintenance
*Ensure effective running of systems independently and within a team
Key Relationships:
*Keep the project lead up to date with progress reports and by identifying risks.
*Help with the creation of requirements and testing documents when needed
*Team up with engineers and domain experts to analyse, develop, design and test allocated deliverables
It will be beneficial to have:
*An appreciation of User Experience
*A basic understanding of the rail industry
