Having developed an innovative approach to image and video compression that is driving major change in the encoding sector, There is now a requirement to strengthen the Software team... Specifically within the GPU department for high performance video processing.
This is an opportunity to heavily build on your GPU expertise, as part of such a skilled and diverse team you will explore more and more opportunities to apply innovative break throughs within the tech world.
Role Responsibilities:
As a member of the GPU Team, you are going to take part in the development of a highly optimized codebase targeting GPU platforms like CUDA and OpenCL. You are going to be responsible for delivering high quality code which matches the functionality of the Research Group's prototype. You will experience a great deal of creative freedom in architecting your code and choosing your algorithms wisely.
Whilst developing our real-time 4K codecs, performance optimization will become your favourite pastime, in case it wasn't already.
Key Skills/Background:
Great deal of enthusiasm for performance optimizationGood understanding of OpenCL/CUDA and SIMD scheme in generalStrong foundations of modern C++ (C++11 and STL)Familiarity with git, CMake or scons, Python, JIRA, Jenkin etc.Relevant degree (at least BSc) in either Computer Science, Maths, Physics or Electrical EngineeringDesirable Skills/Background:
Relevant background in computer graphics and shadersMobile development knowledgeSkills in one or more of the following fields:image and signal processingnumerical methodscompression methodsstatisticscomputer visionalgorithmsThis is an excellent opportunity for a junior Engineer who's looking to join a forward thinking organisation who will put their all into building on their skills and driving their career forward...
