A dynamic and forward-thinking company with more than 20 years’ experience of trading in the UK investment markets is seeking a Senior Automation QA to join its team based in Gloucestershire. Its products and investment solutions have continually evolved to suit the challenges facing investors. Throughout this evolution, the company have grown in partnership with its clients and professional advisors and now have more than £300 million of assets under administration and management. Its products provide a professional and valuable financial planning solution and concentrate on high elements of capital protection or capital preservation whilst taking advantage of various tax reliefs guaranteed by HMRC and include; Inheritance Tax Portfolios, Managed Portfolios, EIS Portfolios, Corporate Management Service.
As part of its service, it: Constructs portfolios that focus on capital preservation and risk mitigation, whilst balancing a strategy to generate a real return.Develops solutions that are tax-efficient and take advantage of various tax reliefs provided by HMRC.Works with intermediaries to help generate and preserve the wealth of their clients, whilst providing valuable financial planning benefits.Working within an agile engineering team, you will focus on delivery with a pragmatic and commercial mindset. Using your experience, you will be responsible for continually improving the quality of our technology products.

Working in an almost entirely greenfield environment, we are looking to develop systems that can scale by orders of magnitude and continue to build out our own technology platforms and products.
As a Senior Automation QA your duties will include:
Working closely across the business and truly understanding requirements, providing timely and accurate guidance ensure quality, reliability and long-term maintenance are considered primary requirement.Leading the enhancement and continued development of a comprehensive automated test suite, which accurately captures user behaviour and instils additional confidence in our systems.Ensuring adequate test coverage is maintained and acting as a guardian of system integrity, whilst simultaneously understanding the need for business change and growth.Ensuring adequate testing plans and procedures are in place and revising these periodically as changes emerge and technology changes.Providing QA governance across cross-functional teams and the business.Collaborating with engineering/platform engineers to ensure the continued availability and productivity of the automation infrastructure.To be a successful Senior Automation QA you will have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience as a similar QA or equivalent competenceFamiliarity with Cucumber/Gherkin and writing clear Acceptance TestsTest automation experience with either Selenium or CypressA strong understanding of different testing methodologies and where to employ eachWhilst experience in the relevant technologies is valuable, the key differentiator will be your adaptability and willingness to learn. Its current technology stack is focused on enabling us to rapidly bring features to market:Node JS, React, C#, GraphQL, .NET Core, Docker, Kubernetes, Go.CDMicroservices, TDD/ATDD, Agile, ScrumAWS/Google Cloud 
In return, for this Senior role, you will receive a salary of up to £42,500 per annum. You will have top hardware: Latest MacBook Pros, together with dual 28" displays, Pluralsight account, Hackathons and a Games room (pool) & reading room.The job title of ‘Senior’ relates simply to the level of experience and has no relevance to age.
