An ICT Technical Director is required for a professional, dynamic and friendly, IT Managed Service Provider. You will have exposure to a wide range of experiences and knowledge base.
The Technical Director is a key member of the Senior Management Team responsible for all Information and Communication Technology Systems, processes, software, hardware and equipment within the company and will oversee delivery of these to the client base.
Reports to the Managing Director
Salary £30 to 35k
40 hrs per week- flexibility of working hours possible
Car parking available
Full driver's licence required
28 days holiday including public holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES
For them and clients: leading and working as a team member with their internal helpdesk:
- Plan, implement, organise, maintain and monitor ICT systems, including policies and procedures.
- Install, configure and maintain servers, personal computers, workstations, smartphones, telephones, tables, ethernet networks, printers, network cabling and other related equipment, devices and systems.
- Monitor and manage network assets using Active Directory
- Maintain site licenses and maintain records.
- Reponsibility for LAN, WAN, bandwidth and VoIP.
- Cyber security, firewalls, virus and malware protection.
- Fulfil fole of Data Protection officer and ensure GDPR compliance alongside HR.
- Ensure system backup and restore policies.
- Maintain client SLAs
- Plan IT infrastructure upgrade strategies and techniques, exploiting new and emerging technologies wherever appropriate.
- Carry out other duties as appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.
YOUR TIME WILL INVOLVE
- Providing 2nd/3rd line telephone, desktop and hands on support.
- Identifying user problems, source, solutions, test and implemenation of solutions.
- Ensuring internal and client systems ICT capabilities evolve in line with and in anticipation of, business needs.
- Evaluation and recommendation of purchases of IT equipment
- Reporting and administration - internally and to clients
KEY SKILLS and QUALITIES
- Excellent knowledge of AD/DNS/DHCP.
- Experience using Windows Server 2019/2012R2/2016/2008R2 and Windows 7/10.
- Excellent knowledge of networking, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches and firewalls.
- Knowledge of Office 365 and Sharepoint.
- Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and server technology.
- Ability to meet deadlines with effective time-management and workload planning.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
