Job Title: Data Centre Network EngineerLocation: Matlock, DerbyshireSalary: £32,032 - £35,187 per annumJob type: Permanent, Full time (37 hours per week)Closing date: 07th July 2019A vacancy has arisen for a Network Engineer within the Council's Data Centre Team.The role will provide a varied, challenging career opportunity, managing, supporting and developing Cisco, F5 and HP network technologies across the Council's data centres and Azure tenancy. This is primarily a technical role for a dynamic customer-focused individual.The authority deploys next generation multipoint VPLS WAN platform, Nexus data-centre switching, Cisco unified wireless network architecture and device virtualisation (Stackwise/FlexStack, SVL, VSS, VPC) technologies. Catalyst, ASR, ISR and Nexus platforms allow the authority to achieve the modern infrastructure required for today's highly available and flexible operations.The authorities' enterprise data centres deliver seamless connectivity between end users/partners and the services they consume. Utilising F5 AFM, ADC and LTM to provide security and application delivery along with Azure identity and Office365 integration.
