Finance Systems AnalystOur leading financial services organisation based in the Birmingham area currently require an individual who ideally comes from a finance background to join as a Finance Systems Analyst to help support their existing finance applications. If you have a background in accountancy or finance this would be highly desirable but is not essential.Key Responsibilities

'€¢Configuration, administration & day to day support of finance and payment systems software and any associated applications'€¢Working with internal and external technical and business analysts to log, analyse, route and track application issues through to resolution.  '€¢Client liaison with the 3^rd party software supplier to find issues which cannot be resolved internally, implement solutions and communicate with users to provide a quality, efficient service when issues are identified'€¢To collect business needs, management information and service level agreement reporting'€¢To use the information gathered to identify and document areas requiring process improvements and quality control'€¢To support the integrity of data within finance data store'€¢To design & develop new reports for users using Infor Q&A and COGNOS BI

Skills required:

'€¢Part qualified accountant preferred.'€¢Significant technical support / analysis experience of finance systems applications; experience in Infor SUN Systems v 6 and Infor Q&A, Proactis, COGNOS BI & COGNOS Planning TM1, GT Match and Cadency Balance Sheet Certification applications would be useful but not essential'€¢A background in financial services and working within a Finance department would be advantageous but not essential'€¢Good problem solving skills with a proactive approach to root cause analysis'€¢Experience in writing application documentation and providing clear, understandable end user training in a manner appropriate to audience requirements'€¢The ability to understand how applications are configured and operated within a finance function.'€¢SQL query writing skills, with the ability to write moderately complex queries to retrieve or update data an advantage'€¢COGNOS report writing skills advantageous'€¢Experience of using Business Intelligence solutions advantageous
