One of Huxley's partners within the CHP sector has created a brand new Project Engineer role within their team in order to keep up with growth and demand. As Project Engineer, you will visit consultants, contractors, developers and end-user customers across North West England to attend to sales enquiries, meetings and carry out site surveys. You will carry out an audit on site at the customers facility, identifying key points such as gas and electrical infrastructure, as well as any other thermal equipment. As well as performing this audit, the Project Engineer will also be tasked with developing quality customer relationships as you seek to win future business. As a result of this work, you will then be responsible for devising high quality bids and tenders, holding responsibility for procurement activity and negotiating various forms of contract with a thorough understanding of all the commercial, technical and operational requirements. This role will have a commercial focus as it will form part of the business development activity, reporting in to the Head of Sales. Your time will be split between customer visits and time in the office, with some home working available as part of their flexible working scheme. You'll need to have your finger on the pulse when it comes to market information and knowing when contracts are up for renewal as it will be your responsibility to secure new business wins, going up against competitor businesses when tendering for new business. You'll balance your energy / utilities sector engineering background with your excellent customer facing skills, leaning on the technical direction team for support when required in order to provide the best service possible.
