Business AnalystCoventry - £35,497 - £39,114 + BenefitsWe have an exciting opportunity with one of our high profile government clients based in Coventry, West Midlands. You will be part of a new dynamic digital team who are wholly focussed on developing digital services for customers and front line staff.Our Business Analysts are involved in the data stewarding across the IT infrastructure and are the central point of contact for how the data is collected and maintained. They ensure that data governance processes, policies, guidelines and legal requirements are followed so that the data and systems are secure and fit for purpose to meet with our service vision and business strategy.Role Responsibilities:Lead to ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture.Challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose. Take a lead role in facilitating collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.Establish strong data governance across the data flows in the area.Produce and maintain documentation of the governance processes and standards.Work with stakeholders to gather requirements to translate these into business requirements, technical requirements.Lead on work with customers and suppliers to manage issues around quality of data stored in key products and monitor it continuously. Take a lead role in the development and maintenance of data definitions, data dictionary, data standards, data catalogue and semantic layer mappings. Experience required:Knowledge of Business Analysis - applying thinking, gathering and analysing information using comprehensive tools and techniques.Ability to map business processes and data flow, data lineage form source to target according to the data and development lifecycle.Experience of working within a data discipline or working with data, involving the extraction of data from datasets and transforming or manipulating data to produce analytical output.Knowledge of data, data structures, meta-data, data management techniques, data dictionaries and semantic layer.Knowledge and experience of working with data management systems including MS SQL Databases, TSQL, Data warehouse.
