C++ Java Lead Developer - OO SQL PNL - Investment Bank

C++/Java Lead Developer is required to lead, deliver and help shape the applications/Web Applications for the team used to support and deliver the client contribution figures across Global Markets 50/50 Java and C++ experience  or at least being able to be hands on in both to a high level. You must have experience of databases (SQL) AND any other OO language desirable. Global Markets experience and/or PnL or transaction applications. Experience on STL and Boost libraries. Unit testing. Multi-threading proven experience. Inter process communication (IPC) proven experience. Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and Transact SQL. Knowledge of JSON. SVN and GIT.Ability to work with Windows and Linux operating systems. C# ASP.NET 4.5 or later is highly desired.

Role:

Working on the Project to transform the PnL client contribution platform so that it is faster and more accurate. At this stage the strategy of the role will be to influence the technical direction of the project so looking for someone of that seniority. The C++ / Java Developer will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the project therefore an understanding of additional tech stacks is an advantageous

The application is currently in C++ and they want to phase this out as it is the standalone system in the team. Most likely moving to Java so need someone 50/50 (or close) between Java/C++. Additional OO languages desirable on top

Working closely with and providing expertise support to another team members to deliver the components according to existing and new business requirements.

The successful C++/Java Developer will also be required to take part in designing, estimating and proposing solutions to meet the users' requirements.

The role can also include the following: Involvement in the development of other Client Contribution tools/applications as required

Support for the Client Contribution Engine

Assistance in functional testing within the team

Write/Update technical specification and support procedures

Provide third line technical support for the Client Contribution tools on a rota basis
