This is a new role to the business, and is an opportunity to consolidate our client's existing reporting, improving what they do currently as well as working across the business to create new reports and insight. The work will be varied, initially focussing on financial and sales reporting but with an opportunity to support the rest of the business as the role evolves. Day to day you will work with Excel and SQL, but as the company grows you can help to shape reporting tools and implement new processes which better meet the needs of the business.

As the Junior BI Developer, you will be responsible for:

- Developing a suite of tools and reports that can be used across various departments and teams, providing full training and support

- Full implementation of tools with minimal disruption throughout the business

- Checking and maintaining data and information stored to ensure its clean and match to connecting systems

- Using SQL coding in the company database

- Supporting on the production of commercial performance review presentations

- Using VBA programming and managing of external data sources, including complex formulas in Excel

- Supporting the production of weekly and monthly financial reporting packs

- Improving and maintaining existing applications

- Full implementation of tools with minimal disruption throughout the business

Desirable skills and experience:

- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent

- Have extensive experience in Excel and VBA

- Strong SQL skills

- Experience in creating dashboard and reports

- Capable of delivering workshops and demos to end-users

- Able to interpret data to understand the requirement so you can work independently to validate data to source systems

- Adaptable and able to understand the challenges each team has and can flex approach to internal stakeholders

- Be organised, proactive and inquisitive
