What's the role?Jefferson frank are working with a technology services company that designs and develops software solutions for ambitious organisations that want to gain a competitive edge in their market. The company are looking for talented Senior Java Developers to join their team in London to be part of an ambitious development. The company are building a new team, based in London, to work on an exciting programme of work with one of their clients: a very prestigious global investment bank based in London and New York and this is a great opportunity to join as a senior figure to influence how they operate. This a great programme to be involved with as it will provide exposure to cutting edge financial services applications, the latest technology, the latest and best thinking on Agile delivery, and a brand name which will look great on any developer's CV. Permanent responisbilities: Designing and Developing custom and complex solutions using Java and other programming languagesPartnering effectively with client project teamsManaging the project software delivery lifecycle technical requirements5+ years of commercial software development experience using Java5+ years of service oriented architecture developmentExperience working in an Agile environmentBachelor's degree / Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldStrong understanding of DB technologies and SQLSkilled in interpreting and applying technical data.A logical mind that enjoys using technical know-how to problem solveNatural self-motivation with a passion for delivering excellenceGreat communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationshipsCuriosity with an ongoing desire to develop and learn Nice to have:Experience with messaging technologiesUnderstanding of CI/CD principlesKnowledge of DevOps tools, e.g. Jenkins, SonarExperience with multiple database technologies (RDBMS or NoSQL)Knowledge of Web UI technologies (including Angular/JQuery)Financial Services and/or Software Consulting experience.Experience of working in client-facing environments Why join the team?Work on major software projects for FTSE 500 companies.Work directly with our clients' C-level executives from day one.We're growing - fast.
