Database Analyst / Data Architect - 45-50k + excellent benefits

As a preferred supplier to this widely recognisable organisation, we have been trusted to source a Database Analyst / Data Architect to join the growing team based in Folkestone. Working closely with the application architect, the role holder will be responsible for Database architecture definition and design, defining and delivering new software systems and extending existing ones, and mentoring and coaching other developers as they carry out build work.

Skills / Environment (not all essential)

*Microsoft SQL Server skills covering MS-SQL, SSIS, SSRS

*Excellent database performance skills including execution plans, query design, indexing and profiling

*Experience in general database design and modelling

*Agile and Scrum experience would be an advantage

*Strong communication skills, written and spoken

*Ability to mentor and guide junior team members

Role Overview

The successful Database Architect will help shape, create, develop and evolve the database architecture that underpins the software products and will carry out more complex development tasks. With experience of working within an Agile environment, you will also require solid SQL Server skills as well strong database design and modelling experience. The Database Architect will define SQL development standards and guideline definition and implementation and provide technical guidance and coaching to developers.
