Project Manager - Insurance Central London - £63,000 - £75,000 + Benefits We have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients, a world leader in reinsurance. Overview:As a project manager, you will have the ability to make a significant impact to the organisation by supporting the growth strategy and competitive positioning of the business unit.You will lead project team members in cross functional IT and Business teams with the goal to deliver IT system related project in time, budget, quaintly and scope. Project types can range from system selection and replacement of legacy systems including data migration, development of bespoke systems or complex upgrades of existing systems. Role Responsibilities:Project planning, scheduling, resourcing and dependency management following the approved organisation project management methodology based on PMBOK and Agile practicesCreation of project cost estimations and definitions in collaboration with stakeholders and team membersLiaison with, and management of, suppliers to produce project deliverablesSteering and controlling of project costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budgetQuality assurance / quality controlBespoke software development and system integration: managing the software development cycle in incremental iterations based on Agile software development methodology (Scrum like)Management of escalations within team, with project sponsor and stakeholdersManaging 3rd party service suppliers and product vendors as well internal team members in a matrix responsibilityAnalyse situations, diagnose problems, identify the key issues, establish and evaluate alternative courses of action and produce a logical, practical and acceptable solution. Experience required:Strong project delivery background (ideally from a consultancy) with more recent experience within the financial servicesDemonstrable experience of successfully delivering critical and complex IT system related projects within financial servicesProven experience in Agile software development and lifecycle methodologiesSCRUM experience and knowledgeMicrosoft technology and techniques Desirable:Company/London Market (re)insurance experience with a good knowledge of products and marketsQualifications and experience of one or more industry recognised best practise project management delivery methodologies i.e. PMP, PRINCE 2-certified, Agile methodologiesProven experience in Agile software development and lifecycle methodologiesCII qualifications If you have the relevant skills and experience and would like to apply please send through an updated copy of your CV and contact number through to Jack Devlin at Experis by following the link provided.
