Requirement Description

Under the direction of Staff Officer (Plans), the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:

*Researches, compiles and collects data for use in preparation of reports and briefings as requested;

*Utilises and maintains the configuration control of Plans Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and supporting documentation;

*Deputizes the Operations Centre Security Officer;

*Acts as Operations Centre CIS Point of Contact (CIS POC), responsible for the custody, control and safekeeping of all CIS assets issued to the assigned inventory account(s);

*Updates and maintains databases such as mailing lists, contact lists and customers' information;

*Co-ordinates, organizes and attends meetings, prepares minutes and monitors follow-up activities as requested;

*Monitors processes and schedules related to the Plans outputs, products and tasks;

*Prepares and processes confidential information;

*Assists in managing, updating and further developing internal databases as well as SharePoint website;

*Generates a variety of standard and non-standard statistical reports;

*Assists in the preparation of presentation materials using appropriate technology/software;

*Maintains Plans calendar/schedules;

*Performs a variety of Plans administrative duties (e.g. leave recording, meeting organization, reservations, office supply and equipment orders, etc.), including preparing and/or processing administrative requests/documents (e.g., travel requests, expense claims, vouchers, visa applications, etc.);

*Assists in recording and managing Ops Centre staff training requests, to include details of all courses scheduled, staff participating as well as training location;

Skills and Experience

Experience and Education:

*Vocational training at a higher level in a relevant discipline with 3 years related experience or secondary education diploma with 3 years of related experience;

*At least 3 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post;

*Good experience in the area of CIS security;

*Good experience in inventory management and control;

*Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (mainly Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote, Outlook and OneDrive) as well as calculators, printers, and other office equipment;

*Familiar in creation and management of SharePoint lists, libraries as well as basic page customizations;

*Good experience to format, compose, finalize reports, documents, and other office written materials;

*Good experience to organize files and other records;

*Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and complete work assignments in a timely manner;

*Ability to handle multiple assignments with attention to the details;

*Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;

*ITIL v3 2011 Foundation certificate or similar IT Service Management certification.

Desirable Experience and Education:

*Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;

*Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT;

*Knowledge of NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) responsibilities and organization;

*Successfully completed the NATO CIS Orientation Course;

*Successfully completed the Cyber Defence - NATO CIS Security Officer (CISSO) Course;

*Prior experience as NATO Divisional CIS Point of Contact (CIS POC);

*Prior experience in NATO INFOSEC practices.
