As a group they turnover in excess of £3 billion with further expansion plans afoot.The part of the group specialises in the design, manufacture and serviced of specialist diagnostic equipment that is supplied into the NHS and private sectors.In this role you will provide applications support along with installation commissioning and customer training of Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology and Immunoassay instrumentation and associated products in accordance with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Biochemistry/ laboratory medicine or immunology. Have a Minimum 3 years' experience in the Medical Diagnostics industry and or a clinical laboratory industry and previous or current experience in operating clinical chemistry/Immunoassay analysers. The role:*Reporting to the Applications Support Manager, the Applications Specialist provides onsite customer support and is the face of the company to our customers*This position will be instrumental in providing a high level of support, requiring close interaction with the customer and colleagues to achieve and maintain a quality service*Adhere to customer focused strategies to achieve business objectives and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction*Installation and commissioning of solutions ensuring that the performance of the equipment meets technical specifications and customer expectations*Perform in-house and onsite product training, ensuring that customers are provided with training appropriate to the use of the instrumentation and software solutions*Assist new and current existing customers with assay validation processes and troubleshooting techniques*Provide field based technical support*Build and maintain customer relationships in area of accountability*Maintain personal knowledge development*Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all paperwork and reports*Responsible for provision & maintenance of training documentation (e -learning & hard copy formats) The person*A qualification in Biochemistry / Laboratory Medicine is preferable Immunology/essential*Minimum 3 years' experience in the Medical Diagnostics industry and or a clinical laboratory required*Previous or current experience in operating clinical chemistry/Immunoassay analyzers - essential*Knowledge and understanding of laboratory practices, (including a knowledge of clinical chemistry and automation) Accreditation requirements This vacancy is being advertised by Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd.
