Senior SAP BI AnalystSolihull£50,000 - £68,000 + Bonus & Car Business Intelligence / Analytics / BI / Management Information / Data / SAP / Business objects / Business Warehouse / Reporting / HANA Experis IT are currently recruiting for a SAP BI Analyst to join one of our key clients based in Solihull. They are a FTSE 250 company who provider public services on a global scale with 50,000 employees worldwide. It's a very exciting time for the company's business intelligence and reporting function as we are looking to build and developer whole new team within the business from Manager through to analyst.As part of the MI&A team, the BI Analyst will be responsible for creating data analytics and reporting solutions to enable effective reporting and insight by business teams. They will engage closely with leads in the business to understand and develop requirements, provide expert knowledge of the data structures and presentation tools in order to deliver value-adding analytical solutions. They will bring innovation and pragmatism to help develop new insights to grow and optimise the business.Responsibilities Build strong relationships with business and functional stakeholders to understand business direction, processes, issues, decisions, and shape data requirements for reporting, analysis and insight.Translate business requirements into costed data analytics designs, including data exploration, data analysis, presentation queries, report/dashboard and analysis models.Design, develop and test semantic or presentation layers for business MI teams to build reports against.Advise on reporting and analytics tools selection for individual requirements. Consult with business teams on how to build reports and analytics to understand the what, why and what-if scenarios.Create easy to understand, interactive and intuitive dashboards and business reports using both enterprise reporting applications and data visualisation tools.Develop rapid prototypes and analytical models from various data sets to explore new business insights, using iterative development with close engagement with business stakeholders.Evaluate and recommend the pragmatic and cost effective approach to meeting report and analysts requirements, such as in-house development, delivery partner, specialist 3rd parties or otherwise based on scale, complexity and priority.Demonstrate tools and data analytics subject matter expertise with our business Power Users. Provide coaching and guidance to drive self-service and develop their capabilities. Develop guides, training videos, provides briefings and webinars with the Power-User community.Work collaboratively with source system experts, functional business leads, 3rd party partners and colleagues in the MI&A team on delivery projects.
