Summary of Role

The IT Network and Infrastructure Engineer will manage and control the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and development of the organisation's hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This role will form a key component in the delivery of business services and on the journey to implementing the IT strategy and vision.

The role requires an analytical, and logical approach to problem solving, good communication skills and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.

When required, the IT Network and Infrastructure Engineer will form part of the Major Incident and Problem Management taskforce.

The IT Network and Infrastructure Engineer will have a strong background in the configuration and implementation of networks and will have expert knowledge at a detailed level of network technologies and data centre hardware and software.

Experience

*3+ years of experience within Networking on Infrastructure.

*Suitable track record in successfully managing suppliers and third-party providers to deliver mission critical activities and changes.

*Effective understanding appreciation of networking, infrastructure, and network security.

*Attainment of relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, VCP, etc.

*VEEAM & VMWare skills

Knowledge and Skills

*Exceptional knowledge and skills in the areas of networking, WAN, LAN, and Wireless.

*Great problem-solving skills.

*A passion for continuous improvement and development both personally and professionally.

*Strong IT acumen, including cross-domain knowledge.
