Java Developer / Java Software Engineer (Java J2SE SQL Spring). City based financial software house is seeking a skilled, hands-on Java Developer to design and develop new features and functionality for one of their flagship STP (Straight Through Processing) products. The company provides a suite of financial software applications to the asset management and finance community, including Tier 1 Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Investment Managers.

As a Java Developer your role will predominately focus on core Java back end development, you'll be working in an Agile team using TDD. Working across the full development lifecycle, you will constantly seek new improvements and innovations for this technically-advanced solution.

Technical ability is prized over industry knowledge making this an excellent opportunity as a Java Developer to gain valuable knowledge of investment banking and post trade management in a friendly team atmosphere.

Requirements:

*Strong Java J2SE design and development experience, including Spring

*Good SQL skills (able to read code, write queries & stored procedures & comfortable with joins)

*Advocate of Agile development methodologies and Test Driven Development (TDD)

*Technologist with a keen interest in producing quality software (clean, scalable code)

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Likely to be degree educated

*Nice to have: Angular, C#, REST
