A chance to join one of the world's leading companies in their design centre based in Belgium where you will have the opportunity to be responsible to define, lead and drive CAD and IT infrastructure improvements for a team that is developing imaging technology for consumer electronics and automotive applications.

In this role you will be working with the IC Design teams as well as with other sites and will be working in direct co-operation with external parties such as suppliers. Your job will be to contribute and continuously improve the necessary methods and tools to support the IC development cycle, from design up to maintenance and customer support.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage the CAD infrastucture· Manage the CAD SW (procurement, licenses, tools, versions)· Work to improve CAD methods and tools and develop scripts· Manage accounts, usergroups and access rights, etc.· Procure and manage CAD licenses, manage CAD tool versions.

Industry degree qualified, the successful CAD/EDA Support Engineer will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Experience is required with the relevant IC design CAD tools (from Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor and in-house tooling). Experience in managing projects, technical teams and customer expectations are important as well as the ability to work well with external and internal technical teams.

A broad technical knowledge is required in; hardware, linux, software, license servers, account management, electronics and micro-electronics.

This role would suit someone with an analytical mind and a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.

Excellent communications skills in English are required.
