We have a reputation for excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction. To support our UK business we are looking for an Infrastructure Manager with strong IT and networking skills. They should also bring with them great ideas, commitment to customer focus and want to shape the team to support the business needs of the future.

In this role, you will:

+ Along with senior management track plan vs budget, plan for capacity.
+ Ensure the internal infrastructure is of the highest quality and adheres to the ISO standards and best practices.
+ Develop a vision and strategy for expanding into the Hyperscaler area ( AWS and Azure ) to provide the next generation of infrastructure .
+ To recognise opportunities for improvements to procedures by pro-actively offering ideas and solutions.
+ Lead the team in "Evolution or Innovation" work identified to support the business.
+ Support the team in providing advisory services to customers making the journey to a hosting provider and help to differentiate us in the market.
+ Identify ways to become a proactive value added solution provider to our business.
+ Contribute to the on-going development of the internal IT and infrastructure function by encouraging the sharing of knowledge, experience and expertise.
+ Look for collaboration opportunities with other organisations within the business and look to foster partnerships.
+ Provide an escalation level for IT issues, including; management, resolution and communication as appropriate.

Team Management:

+ Build and manage a strong performing team covering IT , Networking ,Infrastructure and supporting them in their Personal Development Plans.
+ Develop a vision and strategy for the team going forward, looking at opportunities for cross-skilling and improvements around new ways of working and/or new technology enhancements. 
+ Set clear objectives, evaluate progress against objectives, and instil performance-oriented culture with focus on accountability.
+ Encouraging team input into procedures and practices - assisting them in developing their ideas.
+ Ensure appropriate levels of coverage across the team to support existing and future needs.
+ Work closely with the Delivery Team Leads and SDMs and focus on agility and speed, and to maintain a high satisfaction rate in customer service delivery standards.
+ Understand the concept of delivering a service to internal stakeholders.

IT & Infrastructure Management:

+ Manage the internal IT Support team (3 heads)
+ Be the escalation point for all technical or management IT Support issues
+ Ensure that the team has the required technical skills to meet all support needs
+ Be responsible for all technical areas, security and the maintenance of high standards
+ Full technical understanding of technologies used
+ Act as technical lead for all ISO27001 topics
+ Work with the local and global QM teams to ensure compliance 

Future Thinking:

+ Proactively look for new ideas, processes, collaborations or technology opportunities, to improve the infrastructure or IT systems to support the UK business
+ Expand on the Hyperscaler usage to provide new and innovative solutions to requirements and customer opportunities.

UK IT Infrastructure Manager Required Experience:

+ Networking (L3)
+ Windows Server (L3, all versions, inc. Hyper-V)
+ Windows 10
+ Full scale Endpoint Protection Suite (e.g. Kaspersky ES, TrendMicro ApexOne)
+ Linux (SLES, Ubuntu)
+ Familiarity with Open Source platforms (e.g. Zabbix, OSSEC, iTop)
+ AWS architecture
+ Active Directory inc. GPO
+ good understanding of DB administration (MSSQL, MySQL)

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with a focus on trusted people relationships and results. Confident and approachable you will be used to doing things differently at times, being adaptable to adjust and change.
