Bournemouth University's vision is worldwide recognition as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice. Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

Established in 2011, we are a private sector-led organisation responsible for speaking on behalf of businesses, championing important issues with government and ultimately driving the economic growth of Dorset. The LEP is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Dorset economy and controlling an investment programme of around £250m. Working in partnership with local government, businesses, educational institutions and other public, private and community sector organisations, we keep Dorset firmly on the map.

Led by an experienced and dedicated board of public and private sector members, we aim to make Dorset the best place to do business in the UK by putting in place the building blocks to drive productivity in Dorset.

We are currently looking for new colleagues to join the LEP and help us achieve our ambitious plans for the future. If you have the skills, experience and drive to benefit every resident, we look forward to hearing from you.

We are looking for people who believe in the integrity and value of what we do, and who can represent our organisation professionally amongst stakeholders. In return, we will create exciting opportunities for you, supporting you to try new ideas and develop your skills.

It's a great time to join the Dorset LEP; you will be part of an evolving organisation with growing influence.

This post is available on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2020.

A detailed job description and person specification are available from our website together with an online application form.

BU values and is committed to an inclusive working environment.  We seek a diverse community through attracting, developing and retaining staff from different backgrounds to contribute to inspirational learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society.  To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
