Software Engineer / Developer who has knowledge of development processes and experience of testing and evaluating networked systems is required to join our talented and innovative Development Team based in Malvern, Worcestershire, West Midlands.

SALARY: £25,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

KEY REQUIREMENTS: If selected you will undergo UK government security vetting, so you MUST have a minimum of 5 years residency - Please ensure that all gaps in your CV are accounted for.  A Full Drivers Licence is highly desirable.

 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience in one or more of the following disciplines would be beneficial:

Development of software for Windows / Linux based platforms

C / C++ / C# / Java / JavaScript /Python

HTML / CSS / PHP

SQL / NoSQL Database manipulation

Mobile application development

IP Networking

Design processes, including development, tests, analytics, and troubleshooting

Scripting and test automation abilities

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Software Engineer / Developer will include the following:

Visualise, design, and develop creative and innovative software platforms, as the Company continue to experience dramatic growth in the usage and visibility of their products

Create scalable software platforms and applications, and efficient networking solutions that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration

Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation

Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations

Develop software and applications, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with urgency and quality

Collaborate with programme team, to deliver solutions against project work plans

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Qualifications

Any of the following backgrounds will be considered:

HND or BSc level qualification in Software Engineering or equivalent Computer Science related discipline

Previous experience in an active Software Development / Analyst Programmer role

Experience in one or more of the following tools and technologies:

Development of software for Windows/Linux based platforms

C/C++/C#/Java/JavaScript/Python

HTML/CSS/PHP

SQL/NoSQL Database manipulation

Mobile application development

IP Networking

Design processes, including development, tests, analytics, and troubleshooting

Scripting and test automation abilities

Full driving licence is highly desirable.
