£35,000 to £40,000 + Vehicle (with personal use allowed) + Laptop + Phone + Company Credit Card & Expenses + Company Fuel Card + Government Statutory Pension + 28 Days Holiday & Bank HolidaysExcellent opportunity for a multi-skilled service or maintenance engineer with experience of the packaging or pharmaceutical industries to join established growing business that are offering a varied and interesting position with a great benefits package.This company have been established for almost 20 years and work alongside some of the world's leading manufacturers of processing and packaging machinery in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food and similar industries. Through continued and steady expansion, they are now looking to add a Customer Facing Service Engineer to lead their team in the field. This company put a large emphasis on training and development and manufacturers training will be given with suppliers in both Italy and Germany.In this role you will provide service engineering, maintenance, customer and training support for customers who operate machines and equipment provided by the company across the UK and Ireland. You will be the face of the business as you deal with different clients on site on a day to day basis. There will be nationwide travel across the UK involved with this position at times, with all costs and expenses covered. Some overnight staying away may be required - this could be as much as 10 nights a month away.The ideal candidate will be a multi skilled maintenance or service engineer with both mechanical and electrical skills. Experience within the packaging or pharmaceutical industries is highly beneficial. It is vital that you are customer facing and any direct experience to customer service is beneficial.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business in a varied and interesting position where you can increase your earnings through ample overtime opportunities.The Role:

*Plan, manage and carry out service engineering, maintenance support, breakdown support and spares support business for existing customers

*Establish and maintain a routine programme of customer support / service engineer visits to current customers to service and maintain installed equipment

*Establish customer support point of contact with all customers and develop good working customer support relationships, becoming the default point of contact for service support, customer's equipment operating problems, machinery breakdowns and customer support requests

*Develop and maintain innovative customer support records for current customers to provide them with a coherent service record for existing machines

*Establish and agree with the scope of spares packages for routine servicing and scale of spares and tools required to enable a level of in-the-field independence of operation and problem solving

*Develop and maintain strong technical working relationships with the equipment manufacturers

*Provide service engineering reports on completion of each visit

*Covering a UK patch with some overnight staying away required, all expenses and costs covered. You may have to stay away up to 10 nights a monthThe Person:

*Experience as a Service Engineer or in maintenance engineering positions

*Electrical and mechanical skills. Multi skilled engineers or mechanically biased engineers with electrical skills all considered

*Experience within the packaging or pharmaceutical industries highly beneficial

*Customer facing and happy to deal with clients on a day to day basis being the face of the business

*Full UK driving license and happy to travel and stay away from home at times

*Live a commutable distance from Yeovil, Somerset. Ideally within an hour.
