Linux Systems Engineer (Device Driver C Linux Kernel Ethernet TCP/IP). Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems whilst enjoying perks such as casual dress code, kitchen and shower facilities, ping-pong table, weekly cakes and onsite Pilates classes?

You could be working at a market leading technology company whose hardware products are used to provide super low latency and high performance for clients including Investment Banks and Stock Exchanges.

As a Linux Engineer you will design and implement Linux network device drivers for the next generation of 100G and SmartNIC adapters; you'll work to submit the driver changes to the upstream Linux kernel and partner with Tier 1 Linux distributors to include the latest changes. You'll collaborate with the support team to provide subject matter expertise and expert insight into problems that customers are experiencing, tackling complex system level problems (both functional and performance related).

You'll be based in Cambridge offices, a short walk from the town centre, onsite parking available and commutable by train.

Requirements:

*Strong knowledge of Linux systems with experience of writing device drivers for the Linux kernel

*Significant software engineering experience having been involved in the successful delivery of complex and challenging software products

*C development skills

*Good understanding of server system architectures (e.g. PCI-express)

*Academic record of achievement; minimum 2.1 BSc; likely to have studied MSc / PhD
