To manage the Northgate PSenterprise HR/Payroll team and provide support for overall performance of Northgate PSe HR & Payroll ensuring enquiries and issues are resolved adequately. Responsibilities for the Human Resource Support Team Lead Northagte PSe. Summary: *Managing a busy team of HR System team analysts from Junior to Senior *Ensuring that the team support the business to defined standards and SLAs for Incident, Request and problems *Ensuring that work has agreed and defined deadlines and that the team work to those deadlines *Ensuring that support documentation is up to date and fit for purpose *Ensuring that the team are trained on the job to handle cases from all disciplines support by the team *Setting SMART objectives and measuring performance against the appraisal process *Managing High Priority incidents that arise and ensuring that the processes are followed *Producing Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting based around support processes and KPIs *Coach and Mentor team members *Delegate responsibilities as appropriate to the team Detail: 1.Lead the HR Project Team. This involves creating team plans and arranging team meetings. It also includes liaising with the Personnel Management team in order to identify and advise of any problems associated with any tasks, and recommend solutions, as well as advising on technical and practical implications of new developments. 2.Responsibility for maintaining accurate data throughout the database by improving data entry processes, and ensuring appropriate data cleansing exercises are carried out. This is to facilitate accurate payruns and accurate management information, as well as statutory data returns (e.g. HESA). 3.Responsibility for the security of the database by ensuring data is only accessed appropriately. This is achieved by maintaining a robust new user process, and liaising with IT Services over server security. 4.Ensure appropriate training and support for all users. Arrange for all guidance documentation to be maintained and ad hoc support to be provided as required, as well as responsibility for running regular refresher training sessions for Personnel users with inputting duties. 5.Identify and implement ways to make HR/Payroll data processing more efficient by modifying business processes and/or developing the database accordingly. 6.Develop solutions for any HR data storage problems and implement appropriate database development accordingly. For example, plan and develop a solution for capturing and maintaining Job Evaluation/Matching information in order to implement the Framework Agreement. 7.Responsibility for the configuration of the database, ensuring configuration files are maintained, and appropriate processes are in place for amending or adding new configuration. 8.Identify the University facility requirements of different staff categories and arrange for their needs to be met. This involves liaising with IT Services regarding the maintenance and development of the interface from PSe to the University Membership System, and hence to other University systems, as well as representing Personnel Services in University wide meetings regarding University Membership issues. 9.Maintain database integrity after application upgrades and patches by managing the testing of the system functionality after each update and arranging for the upgrade/patch to be performed for all individual client installations. 10.Plan and coordinate all annual pay award processing and spinal point incremental processing. This is achieved by ensuring accurate appointment data, and arranging the running of the automatic system processes or the recreation of those processes where necessary.
