A UK wide business with its Head Office in Liverpool city centre are recruiting for a Network Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for supporting the network infrastructure across the company. This will include WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, load balancing and the datacentre.
You will contribute to the development of the existing network, working with other teams to ensure resolution of incidents, and working with the project teams helping with design and implementation.
Role also involves:Pro-active monitoring of the network to identify issues before they become an incidentInstall, manage and support all networking equipment across all sites initially, the predominantly office basedFault resolution, or escalating to the Network Manager or 3rd party'sEnsuring backups of all equipmentWork across teams including Service Management, Technical Project Delivery and Solution Design.Provide advice, support and expertise within the team and to end users.
To apply for this role you will need some of the following:Operating at CCNA/CCNP level, the certification is desirableWAN - routing protocols OSPF/BGP/EIGRPSD-LANLAN - Cisco catalyst, Meraki and Nexus switching and routingWLAN - Cisco MerakiVoIP - Cisco Unified Communication Manager, SIP Trunk knowledgeSecurity and Remote access - Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA 5500 firewalls, IPsec remote access and site to site VPNLoad Balancing - F5 Big IP LTM load balancersDatacentre - Cisco Nexus switches and NX-OS, Cisco 6509 switchesMonitoring - Nagios, Netscout TruViewAwareness of Office365 and Azure would be beneficialSalary - £40,000-£53,000
