Jefferson Frank are currently working with a digital start-up, undergoing rapid growth, in Manchester city centre, seeking a DevOps Engineer with knowledge of software development (Java/ Python).The Engineer should have a passion for driving DevOps culture in medium sized organisations, as well as;Experience of working with Java and PythonStrong knowledge of AWS (certification a bonus) Have implemented continuous delivery at a previous workplaceBeen exposed to the AWS serverless computing ecosystemStrong knowledge of Continuous IntegrationThe responsibilities of the role include;Create exemplar application and infrastructure as code CI / CD pipelinesSupport technical leads with challenges faced individual squads as they adopt DevOps practicesSupport squads in the adoption of infrastructure as code, monitoring and taking ownership of their own dependencies.Example of current tech in-house;Extensive use of AWS native services supporting application and mobile app developmentJava microservicesPython and JavaScript serverless functionsDevOps tools JenkinsDockerArtifactoryAWS Code PipelineAWS Code Build
