A public sector company is looking for a Business Change Analyst to help with business transformations outlined below. This is a fixed term 12 month contract position (maternity cover), however for the right person there could be an opportunity of becoming a permanent member of staff after this period.

Business Change Analyst job purpose:

*Review, analyse and identify opportunities for change which will deliver benefits through system functionality or process changes for the employee lifecycle.

*Deliver agreed changes on the journey to paperless administration and improved employee experience.

*Support project delivery of activities such as development of business case, business requirements, project planning, system configuration, business process mapping, testing and handover operations.

*Identify the business changes that are impacted by systems upgrades and system developments. Assess impacts of the change, capturing and documenting requirements then ensuring requirements are delivered.

Business Change Analyst Responsibilities:

*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR, payroll and time management systems and functionality

*Work with stakeholders to establish and document root cause of issues and investigate new opportunities including gathering evidence in order to inform prioritisation decisions

*Working with and mediating between stakeholder groups to resolve conflicts in the vision for the new business environment

*Assist with the identification of risks and costs of the current and desired new business solutions

*Compare and document current versus new processes

*Identify, define, analyse, document and validate;

oacceptance criteria and ensure this is signed off and agreed appropriately

otransition activities and associated schedules to ensure risks are mitigated, including training, testing, parallel running, data preparation, and communications

*Deliver online solutions

*Work closely with key stakeholders

*Deliver changes/transition from old to new and ensure benefits are realised and tracked post go-live

*Ensure all documentation is managed rigorously to ensure clear audit trail.

Business Change Analyst Main tasks:

*Work as a key member of project teams

*Challenge existing processes and identify new solutions

*Take ownership of delivering expected outcomes

*Liaise with business stakeholders, supported by a clear audit trail of decision making, to

*understand and articulate their requirements

*Identify critical success factors, success criteria, key performance indicators and performance targets

*identify options for business change and prepare a gap analysis to inform the preferred option decision

*identify and define capacity requirements, including the implementation/delivery phase and total cost of ownership for sustainable new processes

*articulate and manage risks and issues associated with the change

*identify acceptance criteria

*plan and deliver transition activities including training, testing, parallel running, data preparation, and communications

*Ensure close liaison and collaboration with IT and third parties to secure appropriate technical support and change request processes for the system changes

*Work with internal systems administrators to define and manage integrity and robustness of the new system solution

*Key resource in the utilisation of functionality within the ES and other system solutions

*Expected to demonstrate a willingness to take on a range of tasks and to develop new skills

Business Change Analyst Essential requirements:

*Functional knowledge of standard HR-Payroll systems and associated processes.

*Organisational and time management skills

*Working knowledge of the fundamentals of Lean Six Sigma

*A working understanding of the project lifecycle and experience in establishing, writing and managing requirements throughout the cycle. Ability to have holistic view of processes balanced with ability to 'deep dive' for more detailed examination and root cause analysis

*Use your HRPayroll knowledge and change methodologies and to propose alternative solutions to resolve problems and manage risks for a variety of stakeholders

*Understand the importance of good option evaluation techniques and robust evidence to support decision making and drive effective change

*Experience of presenting information to stakeholders

*Experience prioritising requirements and resolving conflicts in a positive manner

Additional information

*Expected to demonstrate a willingness to take on a range of tasks and to develop new skills, as appropriate, in your own or other departments to support delivery of the Library's Living Knowledge Purposes as required by line management.

*The role will require occasional travel between our sites at Boston Spa and StPancras, London.
