Junior Combat Systems Engineer (Extensive Training) Experis Consulting has an exciting and unique opportunity for ambitious individuals to be trained in all aspects of Combat Systems Engineering, whilst working for one of the leading solution providers to UK's defence sector. This is a great opportunity to join Experis' ever growing consulting division where you will be trained and developed whilst representing Experis on one of our leading accounts.If you have previous systems engineering experience gained within a defence or any other sector and have genuine passion and drive to further your career, then this could be the opportunity for you.In the initial period you will be working on multiple projects focussing on the core set of skills needed to become a qualified Combat Systems Engineer. You will utilise your current skills to apply yourself to the environment while undertaking a bespoke training plan giving you access to experience across a wide range of tools and technologies.In order to fit the criteria applicants must have existing experience gained in systems engineering. You must also:Have a Degree Level qualification or equivalent (ideally in an engineering or technical field)CEng or equivalentHave experience in engineering/systems engineering (or relevant other technical discipline)Whilst on the training programme you will gain the following skills that will further your career:Knowledge of Type 23/26 combat systems and constituent equipmentBroad knowledge of naval combat systems engineeringIdentification of delivery and technical issuesManagement of GFI delivery in support of Type 26 programmeAfter completing your training you will be qualified to:Apply systems engineering approach and execute key systems engineering activities on significant projectsEngage with stakeholders, project managers and senior technical staff to ensure customer and business needs are satisfied appropriately and problems are mitigatedLead a technical team in support of project objectives, structure work of others and review outputDetermine overall systems engineering processes required to achieve technical and programmatic objectives applying broad knowledge of systems engineeringDirect technical documentation in support of work carried outAnticipate and escalates major problems with appropriate business and professional discipline staffUnderstand and apply relevant regulatory, safety and technical standards to work and support complianceBe responsible for managing the output of assigned junior systems engineers (of potentially different specialisms)
