Business Systems Helpdesk Analyst

Helpdesk Analyst - Sussex -

This global leader in their field is looking for a helpdesk analyst to join their Systems Implementation and Support team.

They are currently rolling out a major new business system across the group with plans for phase 2 of the implementation in place.

The successful candidate can expect to work on a variety of projects, including business system implementations, upgrades, user support and software testing.

Responsibilities:

- Investigating and analysing issues.

- Prioritising, escalating issues and maintaining issue records.

- Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, where necessary, liaising with internal IS and Technical teams and external software providers.

Required skills:

- Previous experience in supporting IT solutions and applications.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to communicate with customers at all organisational levels.

- Be polite, punctual and professional.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Be very willing to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge.

Technical skills required:

- Possess basic IT knowledge (MS Windows, MS Office).

- Have knowledge of relational database design. Knowledge of SQL is a bonus.

- Exposure to project management methodologies eg Prince 2

- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (desirable)

- Having an existing knowledge of manufacturing industry and ERP (Preferably Epicor) architecture is desirable

Other skills/experience

- Experience of implementing and supporting production systems, complying with structured change-control procedures

- Prepared to travel both in the UK and occasionally abroad. - A driving licence is required.

- Must be able to work in a small team.

- Must be proactive.
