Supporting the company's IT Manager by providing 3rd and 2nd Line IT support to its employees across 4 regional offices and temporary sites throughout the UK. This will include providing Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Hyper-V, Mimecast, Veeam, Firewall, Switches and end-user application support via phone, messaging and service desk software, along with hardware set-up.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical

- Strong knowledge of Networking - VPN, Firewalls, switches and routers

- Strong Windows server skills including AD + Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

- Knowledge of Hyper-V and Veeam backup

- Knowledge of SCCM and SharePoint

- Azure AD management and Intune

- Printing management and IIS

- Managing the IT Service Desk Incident queue

- Taking delivery of equipment and checking contents before assembly

- Setting up new laptops, PCs and users

- Local and remote support for approx. 100 users on day-to-day technical hardware and software issues

- Occasional visits to other offices and developing a close relationship with the users at all sites

- Occasional visits to project offices on customer sites as required

Liaison and Communication

- System administrative tasks - user and server related

- Informing all employees of planned IT maintenance

- Involvement with the IT Team in regular meetings

- Liaising with IT Manager for the purpose of personal development

- Help support, train and mentor other team members

Other tasks

- Organise secure disposal and recycling of hardware

- Any other duties as may be required from time to time by management

Operating Systems and Software

- Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2016 Operating Systems

- Microsoft Windows 10 Desktop Operating Systems

- Microsoft Office 365 or other recent versions of Office

- Microsoft SCCM/Intune and SharePoint Online

Experience (minimum required):

3+ year experience in a similar role, for a similar size organisation. Evidence of good communicationinterpersonal skills.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

- Excellent understanding of network infrastructure including LANs, WANs and telephony systems (Avaya)

- Windows Server 2012-2016 and SQL 2017

- Windows 10 experience essential

- Azure AD and Intune

- Microsoft Office 365 experience essential

- Exposure to supporting end-users with varying technical ability

- Interest in personal development
