About Platform Services Team

Platform Services team is part of the Capital One UK Software Engineering team. It is responsible for the technical platform supporting all Capital One UK public facing applications, internal facing websites, mobile applications or extensibility points offered to our marketing partners through third party APIs. We believe that building a well architected service platform is fundamental in allowing the business to achieve its long-term goals within our financial regulated environment.

An obsession for delivering quality products to our customers is at the heart of everything we do. We are a maturing agile organisation. Our teams operate with a great deal of empowerment; collaborating with product owners, designers and stakeholders to deliver great software. 

What you'll do:

Design, develop and maintain high quality platform services

Work collaboratively across teams

Ownership of continuous integration and development pipeline

What we're looking for:

Java, Java spring, Maven

Understanding of SOA, HTTP and REST

Awareness of cloud infrastructure

Problem-solving skill

OO programming and design

Coding Standards

Microservice development

Familiar with Agile framework

Good communicator, willing to share and teach

Team player

Strong leadership

Computer Science degree
