Background This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately skilled individual to take responsibility for the development and management of Business Intelligence (BI) at Canterbury Christ Church University. They will have overall responsibility for configuration of the BI platform, and provide expert guidance and specialist expertise in order to deliver BI reporting solutions. They will manage the BI team and liaise with colleagues from across the university. The Business Intelligence Manager will play a pivotal role in the Planning team. The Team's responsibilities include external and internal reporting of student data, and the provision of student-related management information and business intelligence. The team is part of the Planning and Academic Administration Directorate which provides efficient and effective admissions, planning and academic administrative services that are aligned to the University's strategic aims, underpinned by a strong customer focus and delivered across all our campuses and partnerships. The Role The post-holder will: *   Act as lead developer and architect for the SAS BI platform *   Facilitate and lead on requirement gathering and solution design for BI *   Manage the work of the BI Planning Analysts *   Contribute to and play a lead role in developing the reporting strategy for the university *   Lead on delivery of the business critical Student Number Planning process The Person  You will have experience of transforming data into meaningful business intelligence. You will also have gained experience of leading on BI matters, including platform administration and development. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of staff.
