This role is available as the company is expanding.The role.There is exciting opportunity to join a high performing team of multi-disciplinary structural engineers including subject matter experts in delivering critical test & evaluation of complex maritime structures. Through the application of bespoke in house software and commercial FEA packages you will be working with an established team with varied experiences to produce engineering models of high complexity. You will work alongside engineers to deliver complex evaluation of sophisticated submarine and surface ship structures, assessing their performance within the demanding environments that the platforms will be subjected to throughout their operational life.Key Accountabilities.You'll participate in the delivery of projects, with a primary focus on maritime structural calculations and analysis.You will be accountable for the delivery of own work and that of junior members of the team as agreed with, or as part of, the Project Leadership to the required budgets, standards and specifications.You will lead in improving methods and processes within the team.You will ensure the appropriate Health, Safety, Security and Quality procedures are adopted and complied with by themselves and staff in their delivery teams.The Fit.You need to be highly skilled in linear and non-linear structural analysis using FEA.You need a technical understanding of structural fabrication and current maritime construction techniques and materials.You need an understanding of structural fatigue and fracture mechanics.To Apply If you're ready to apply, fantastic!
