3rd Line Support Engineer

An IT Solutions and Managed Service Provider are looking to hire a 3rd Line Support Engineer who can be part of a growing team, providing first rate technology solutions to a Northern based client base.

Key responsibilities of the 3rd Line Engineer role:

* Supporting clients' systems and data infrastructure management and monitoring

* Communicating technical issues to a non-technical audience

* Responsible for effective IT project delivery with end-to-end ownership

* Keeping project plans / documentation up to date

* Providing a positive technical support experience

* Building strong relationships through effective methods of communication at all levels

* Identifying and working towards service improvements

* Assessing, prioritising and managing workload ensuring business goals are achieved

3rd Line Engineer experience required:

* Experience in IT Support with proven experience at a 3rd line level

* Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange Server

* Working knowledge of Active Directory, Virtual Servers, VMWare or Hyper-V, SharePoint, Office 365

* Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs

* Experience of Server / Workstation hardware (Upgrade/Migration/Rollout)

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work under own initiative
