IT Project Manager

IT Project Manager / Infrastructure / IT Delivery Manager / Permanent / Warwickshire

Nationally recognised, award winning client of mine is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join their Infrastructure Delivery team during an exciting period of transformation. This role will be based at their head office in Warwickshire.

Working alongside the IT Infrastructure Programme Manager you will be responsible for multiple technical projects simultaneously, managing through each stage of the project lifecycle from start through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

*Plan, control, monitor and authorise expenditure for all project costs.

*Direct, plan, manage and control the supplier and other Infrastructure Project Delivery resources.

*Manage and control the Project Management System for each project.

*Create and communicate management information at operational project level.

*Direct, lead, manage and control Infrastructure Proof Of Concept activities.

*Direct, lead and assure all project deliverables are in line with the required parameters of cost, time and quality.

*Identify, develop and deliver continuous improvement actions.

*Deliver short-term and one off projects.

Key Skills and Experience:

*Extensive experience of successfully leading full life cycle complex technology projects (£1M per project) as well as a concurrent delivery of multiple projects with.

*Excellent skills in relationship building and influencing key and senior stakeholders both internally and third party delivery teams.

*Significant depth and breadth of experience in agreeing project scope, deliverables, timescales, ways of working and commercial terms with Third Parties.

*Experience of performance management of individuals and suppliers to a defined set of outcomes.

*Advanced User of Microsoft Project for planning, tracking and reporting project progress.

*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial forecasting and budgeting.

*Advanced verbal and written communication skills with experience of summarising large volumes of data into relevant points to drive decision making.

*Proven experience of managing project budgets and providing financial reporting.

*Extensive experience of planning, sequencing and third party plan reviews.

*Experience of applying the concept of earned value in project delivery, along with practical tools and techniques for its implementation.

*ITIL and Prince 2 qualifications advantageous.
