SQL Developer / DBA - Portsmouth - £50kA growing financial organisation in the Portsmouth area is looking to recruit a SQL Developer / DBA to join their small IT team focused on developing and upgrading their data warehouse, assisting in the company-wide roll-out of Power BI, and assisting in plans to migrate to MS Azure. The Role The main focus of this role is to be responsible for the development and maintenance of the data warehouse. You will ensure that the business needs are met by supporting the company model built around Data Science, people, and technology. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security and recoverability of the data warehouse whilst supporting operational teams in implementing new systems from a reporting perspective. As the data warehouse environment evolves you will be required to document the data structure and processes which are utilised within the data warehouse. You will also support the wider BI team in ad hoc data analysis. This role is varied and requires somebody who will be ready to hit the ground running from day one. Your responsibilities will include: Maintenance of the data warehouse. Data warehouse development. Development of SSIS packages. Developing and maintaining SSAS reporting cubes. Creation of technical documentation. Creating reports in Power BI. Ad hoc data analysis. You should have the following technical skills: Very experienced maintaining/building data warehouses. Very experienced with SQL Server plus T-SQL. Strong experience with SSIS. Experience working with SSRS. Experience developing or maintaining SSAS reporting cubes. Power BI or MS Azure exposure.
