Senior Technical Architect / DeveloperBased just outside the M25 our client who are a leading financial services organisation are currently looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect to help lead their team alongside the IT Director. You will also be tasked with managing a small-medium sized team of developers, testers and BA's across various platforms such as Oracle, Java and Microsoft Technologies. This role requires an Architect/Developer with a strong background in software development and design who ideally has hands on experience with Oracle, Java or Microsoft technologies although this role will not be entirely hands on.Skills Required:

'€¢Ability to manage team and third party suppliers to achieve required business and IT strategies.'€¢An excellent and demonstrable knowledge of software development and application delivery within the financial services market place.'€¢An excellent and demonstrable knowledge of software development tools and environments'€¢Experience within financial services - including banking, warranties, insurance etc.'€¢Excellent working knowledge of Oracle, PLSQL, Microsoft and Java technologies and a demonstrable experience of applying the right technology to the right application.'€¢Excellent knowledge in business process mapping and business requirements gathering.'€¢Excellent knowledge with structured project management methods, ideally Prince2, Six Sigma or Agile.'€¢Strong delivery and implementation skills from inception to acceptance'€¢Ability to mentor and manage staff and delegate work in an efficient manner.'€¢Flexible, well organised and able to manage multiple tasks.

Desirable skills

'€¢Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies.'€¢Good knowledge of Oracle Business Objects and ETL delivery'€¢Good knowledge cloud outsourcing and Service Bus API's'€¢Demonstrates commercial acumen'€¢Ability to make difficult and challenging decisions
