6 month+ Contract - GloucestershireJob Description - Design EngineerMust have used CadWorx.Main Purpose:To produce 3D Models, Arrangements, GA's, Detail drawings and associated Documents for Projects.To check and ensure the accuracy of Drawing Office deliverables and they comply with relevant Drawing Office and Company procedures.Achieve agreed drawing submission schedules within budget and to the Project specification requirements on Projects allocated by the Design Office Manager.This role may require the incumbent to work on any Modular Package including Metering / Produced Water Treatment or other related markets. Key Results Areas:Project deliveries on time and to budget.Control of design and oversee fabrication/assembly ensuring no mechanical problems and a cost effective product.Key outputs:To develop cost effective standard designs of company products.To manage the design and oversee the fabrication of company products.To manage any Development Projects from start to completion, including budget and schedule.To identify potential cost savings.To carry out ongoing value engineering.To assist in updating or the preparation of existing or new design standards.To assist projects with mechanical design issues both in-house and on site.Participate in Project Weekly and Design Review Meetings.Prepare arrangements and detailed drawings in accordance with project requirements.Responsible for the accuracy of drawing office deliverables.Provide assistance to the Production Department as required on issues arising during fabrication and assembly.Liaise with the Design Office Manager, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Production and QA/QC departments to ensure that problem areas in design are solved to avoid delays.Establish and maintain Contract files and drawing/document records for all projects.Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with Drawing Office and Company procedures and that design standards in document preparation are maintained and updated.Sales/ProposalsAssist in the preparation of a technical proposal by producing proposal drawing/s as required by the Design Office Manager and or Sales and Proposals Director.Skills & Knowledge:Ensure that you keep yourself up to date with current international standards and maintain a high level of expertise in the area of AutoCAD, CadWorx and any other software that is used or you have been trained on.
